Brentwood Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Yarmouth, ME offers a Nursing Assistant Trainee program with hands-on training, class, lab, and clinical experiences to prepare for the CNA exam. Trainees are paid during training and promoted to CNA when licensed.

Next class starts early November. Training is full-time, Mon–Fri, 8 hours/day, with potential to work days, evenings, or overnights after graduation and a 1‑year commitment. Course fees may apply if the year is not met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Interest in nursing needs of the aged and chronically ill with the ability to work with both.
• Passion for healthcare and a desire to learn and grow in a Long‑Term Care setting.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.

Responsibilities

• Engage in training programs to gain knowledge of healthcare protocols and procedures.
• Learn and apply fundamental nursing skills under supervision.
• Assist nursing staff in providing daily care to residents.
• Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing and grooming.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure the well‑being of residents.
