Homewood Retirement Centers in Maryland is offering a paid nursing assistant training program designed to prepare you for the Nursing Assistant exam. The 4–6 week class leads to certification tests within 120 days and guides you toward continued employment under licensed supervision.

The role includes essential patient-care duties, confidentiality, and adherence to care plans. Night shift, full-time status, with paid training and potential for PT/OT benefits as you progress.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and transfer up to 30 pounds frequently
• Must stand/walk for an eight-hour shift
• Good English reading and writing skills
• Willingness to complete CNA/GNA exams after training
• Organized and capable of following care plans

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of resident information
• Follow policies, procedures and standards
• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
• Provide clean linens and bed-making as needed
• Support proper resident nutrition and assist with feeding when required
• Assist in nursing tasks under supervision
• Record resident observations accurately and report changes
• Participate in resident care planning
• Promote daily living activities per care plan
• Comply with LiftFree program for lifts/transfers
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
