Sanford Health in the United States offers a Nursing Assistant Trainee program designed to build confidence and competence to provide personal care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The trainee works with a preceptor to learn holistic client-centered care and prepares to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

The hybrid program combines online curriculum with hands-on skills development, aiming to ready participants for state exams and CNA certification within four months.

Competenze

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required within four months of employment.
• For applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle and valid driver's license.

Mansioni

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing).
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and ROM exercises.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to a licensed nurse.
• Provide psychosocial support and client rights protection.
• Assist with meals, hydration and nutritional supplements.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and other non-certified nursing assistant duties as assigned.
