Job summary

Sunset Health Care Center is offering an Apprenticeship Program to train individuals as Nursing Assistant Trainees, with tuition and certification support. The role starts at $16.00 per hour for a minimum of 20 hours per week, rising to $18.00 per hour once certified and moved to a full-time schedule of 32+ hours per week.

Qualified applicants will benefit from tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 per year for related studies, education support, shift differentials where available, and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Reading and comprehension at 8th grade level or equivalent.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively through verbal and written means.

Responsibilities

• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set forth in Company's Code of Business Conduct, Company policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
• Must be able to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Keeps confidential all patient information received.
• Makes beds and keeps unit orderly; handles supplies and equipment as needed.
• Transports patients to dining areas, activities, patient care conferences and to their rooms.
• Assists with meals and feeding as competency allows.
