Job description

Claimont Health has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nursing Assistant.

This role is based in the community supporting clients with complex health needs, such as spinal injuries, requiring high-level care at home.

We are seeking experienced Nursing Assistants or Support Workers passionate about person-centred care. Join us either on a full-time or bank staff basis.

Main Duties

We require high-quality, dynamic, and experienced Nursing Assistants with experience in spinal injury support and domiciliary care.

You must have or be:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Complex Care Support Worker with spinal injury clients.
  • Flexibility, maturity, independence, and high professional standards.
  • A commitment to client-specific care.
  • An adaptable approach supporting clients and their families.
  • The ability to maintain professional boundaries in a home setting.

Job Responsibilities

Night Nursing Assistant - Complex Care - Essex

This community-based role involves supporting clients with complex health needs requiring high-level care.

Ideal candidates will have proven complex care experience supporting clients with skills such as:

  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation management
  • Medications management

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • An adaptable, professional support approach.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 and 4 in related subjects
  • Nursery nurse or similar qualifications
  • Diploma in health/social subjects
Experience
  • Significant experience in similar roles, demonstrating commitment to mandatory training and engagement.
  • Previous care experience in health, social care, or childcare settings.
  • Experience communicating complex or sensitive information, including with non-verbal clients.
  • Knowledge of Information Governance, Data Protection, safeguarding, and working in both acute and community settings, including mental health.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to provide high-quality care.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple areas.
  • Empathy, tact, and sensitivity, especially with families under pressure.
  • Strict confidentiality and high attention to detail.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This role requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975, with disclosures made to the DBS to check for any criminal convictions.
