Support Worker - Post 19 Unit
Pay: approx. £14,250
Hours: 22 hours per week, term time only.
8.50am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday.
Required: 1 September 2025
Treetops School is a special academy catering for pupils with a wide range of needs including moderate learning difficulties, speech and communication difficulties, autism and general developmental delay.
In March 2025 Treetops School was judged by Ofsted to have maintained the standards identified at the previous inspection. The previous inspection was in February 2020, at which time Treetops was judged as Outstanding. Treetops Free School, which officially opened in September 2022, was judged Good in its first Ofsted inspection in March 2024.
We are looking to appoint Support Worker to work in our Post 19 Facility.
You will be working as part of a small team in the Post 19 unit to support students aged 19-25 to develop their social and independent living skills.
The role involves;
Supporting with students' employability skills in 1:1, 1:2, and group settings
Assisting with travel training, accessing the community/help with community helpers
Enabling independence through accessing leisure activities such as gym, eating out and shopping.
Supporting students with personal hygiene and medical needs
General housekeeping and upkeep of the Post 19 Cafe and Garden
Sharing snack and lunch time with students
The successful candidate will;
Bring energy and enthusiasm to the role
Be patient and understanding of the needs of the young people in our care
Be able to work solo or as part of a team
Have good communication skills
Have the ability to deal with challenging behaviour within an adult facility setting
Liaise with parents on a day-to-day basis.
