Job summary

Palm Springs Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to care for residents under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with meals, hygiene, transfers, and daily living activities while ensuring a safe, respectful environment.

The role requires completion of a state-approved CNA program, successful competency exam, and registration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required; 1–3 months related experience preferred.
• Graduate of state-approved nursing assistant program and passed competency exam.
• Name must be entered into state nurse aide registry.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure height and weight; monitor weight changes.
• Assist with eating, hydration and personal care.
• Observe skin changes and report to licensed nurse.
• Maintain resident environment and safety; assist with transfers.
