Job summary

Cross Healthcare Services is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care to residents under the direction of a licensed nurse supervisor. The role includes reporting duties, assisting with mobility and daily activities, and ensuring resident comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include measuring vitals, maintaining unit cleanliness, hydrating residents, and protecting patient information. A sign-on bonus is available, and adherence to safety policies is required.

Qualifications

• Provides basic nursing care under supervision.
• Documents information accurately.
• Follows nursing assistant responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and receives nursing report upon reporting for duty and documents information accurately
• Assists with lifting, positioning, and transporting residents
• Assists residents in ambulation with or without self-help devices as instructed
• Measures and records temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressures
• Ensures residents’ personal care needs are met
• Maintains cleanliness of resident units and related areas
• Advises charge nurse of resident condition at shift start/end
• Complies with safety policies and procedures
• Accounts for personal care and observation of residents
• Provides hydration
• Keeps protected health information confidential
• Reports allegations of abuse or misappropriation
• Provides range of motion exercises
• Positions residents for meals
• Serves food trays and assists with feeding
• Delivers snacks and supplements
• Performs other duties per nurse supervisor
