Job summary

Mariner Healthcare in Palm Springs, CA seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to care for residents under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and document changes in residents’ conditions.

Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to support residents’ physical and emotional well-being, maintain safety, and follow care plans. CNA program completion and state exam passage are required.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required; 1–3 months related experience preferred.
• Graduate of a state approved nursing assistant training program and entered into state nurse aide registry.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure and record height and weight.
• Cares for the resident’s environment.
• Bathes residents; assist with grooming, including mouth care; assist with dressing.
• Toilet residents; assist with eating and hydration; use proper feeding techniques.
• Observe resident’s skin and report changes to licensed nurse.
• Transfer, position and turns residents; provide skin care.
• Contributes to resident assessments and plans of care.
