Job Overview

Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with excellent benefits and wages ranging from $22.19 - $28.00 / hour. Wage determinations will be based on similar experience.

Additional pay when working evening/night shifts.

Martin Luther Care Center is seeking a part-time Weekend Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care and Long-term care). This role provides hands-on care and support services for our senior age patients at our spacious care center in Bloomington, MN.

This Weekend patient support position includes:

1. 56 hours every two weeks, part-time schedule
2. Day shift
3. Includes every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday rotations

Responsibilities include:

1. Assists residents based on individual care plan with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers, and responds to call lights.
2. Nursing Assistant may check and record vitals as per community patient care model.
3. AM/PM/NOC cares; including peri care and catheter care.
4. May turn, lift, or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
5. Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
6. Chart or document in electronic medical record system.
7. Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns.
8. Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift.
9. Other duties such as maintaining order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reporting malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answering phones in a timely manner.

Required:
Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date – OR – Individual who is hired into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer’s Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants will be granted a 4-month post-hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

Preferred:
Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
Communicate efficiently, with compassion and understanding for residents and coworkers.
Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant.
Work experience in a customer service setting.
