Job summary

Baptist Health in Corbin, KY is seeking a Nursing Assistant for PRN, 1st shift on 3 North Surgical. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, assist with basic tasks, and support a compassionate care environment.

This role requires a KY Nurse Aide certification or progress in nursing studies, and BLS completion within 30 days of hire. Join a patient-centered team dedicated to safe healing and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• KY Nurse Aide Certification required or completion of first year of nursing program with clinical validation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, and positioning.
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake/output, weights, specimens, and other patient data.
• Perform delegated procedures such as blood glucose monitoring, EKGs and venipuncture.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges and procedures.
• Handle clerical tasks and unit coordination, including patient charts and physician orders.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and a safe patient care environment.
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies with compassionate, respectful care.
