Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a 20‑bed telemetry unit caring for post‑op CABG and cardiac patients. The role supports care transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU and includes direct patient care under RN supervision on PRN night shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, treatments, and routine nursing duties to support the care team and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or first-year nursing program with clinical rotation validation.
• Letter from school verifying completion of first-year clinicals.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire if not already obtained.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and supports the nursing team with selected procedures.
• Assists medical and nursing staff in examination, treatment, and patient care.

4G is a20 bedtelemetry unit. This unit specializes in post-op CABG patients, post-op cardiac surgery,CHFand moderateriskchest pain patients. The population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care. The patient population is transferred from ICU,EDand PACU.

Shift: PRN, Nights

Job Description

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member:

• Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures.
• Performs routine duties toassistmedical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certificationrequiredor successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.
• Must provide a letter from their school verifying the completion of theirfirst yearclinicals.
• Basic Life Support-Applicants will have30 daysfrom their hired date to provide completion of this certification if theydon’thave it already.
