Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 2F/G Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This part-time position (1st shift) supports direct patient care under RN supervision, on a fast-paced telemetry environment.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent, Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (or first-year nursing clinical with validation), and BLS (must obtain within 30 days if not already certified). Benefits provided for part-time employees.

Unit Overview

2F/G is a dynamic 30-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit recognized for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with strong clinical outcomes and efficient throughput. This unit is a trusted destination for acute telemetry patients, providing continuous cardiac monitoring in a fast-paced, highly skilled environment.

Shift: Part-time, 1st Shift

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and support services to patients and families. This role performs selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and overall care of patients.

REQUIREMENTS

• -High School Diploma or equivalent
• -Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with level of education.
• -Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain -BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
