Job Summary

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician provides assistance with nursing care of patients as needed under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Care is provided according to the standards established by the Nursing Services Department and regulatory agencies. The individual is accountable for the aspects of nursing care they are directed to perform within their scope of practice.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a certified nursing assistant program preferred.
  • Experience: Experience required. Licensure and/or Certification preferred. BLS healthcare provider certification required. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred (required to float to TCU).
  • Skills: Ability to take vitals, communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to read, write, and communicate in English, excellent customer service skills.
