Job summary

Mille Lacs Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support licensed professionals in delivering compassionate patient care. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient comfort, and help maintain a clean, safe environment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

With a focus on accuracy in documentation and adherence to policies, you will document vital signs, intake/output, meals, and ADLs in the EMR. A CNA license and BLS are required within two months of hire.

Qualifications

• Registered with the MN Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant.
• Attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Computer skills and ability to document EHR.

Responsibilities

• Assist with needs and comfort of patients including hygiene, nutrition, activity and treatments.
• Observe patients and communicate changes to the Team Leader.
• Document patient cares in the EMR (vital signs, intake/output, meals, ADLs).
• Maintain a safe, clean environment following infection control and safety policies.
• Uphold the Patient's Bill of Rights.
• Use lifting techniques and PPE as required.
• Report accidents or safety hazards promptly.
• Keep patient rooms and surrounding areas neat and organized.
