Virginia Department of Corrections is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant at State Farm Correctional Center. The role provides nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team and assists inmates with ADLs in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Provides quality nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Assists with performing
activities of daily living (ADLs) for inmates while maintaining accountability in a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment. Observes, reports, document and communicate interventions, treatments, behaviors, emergent needs, and situations as they arise. Assists with caring for the mental health and physical needs of inmates. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.
