Provides quality professional health care to inmates and assist employees during emergency events. Leads and oversees the direction and supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Nursing Assistants (CNA), Registered Nurses (RN), and Registered Nurse Supervisors (RNCA). Serves as a liaison between Operations at the institution and the Health Services Unit. Responsible for the continuous operation of medical services at the institution. Acts as the designated Health Authority if the facility does not meet the criteria for a Registered Nurse Coordinator (RNC), or there is no RNC/Director of Nursing. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department.
Experience working in a Corrections or Law enforcement environment
