Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville, AR, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support licensed nursing staff across preventive to hospice care.

The NA will help implement the patient care plan with compassion and professionalism. Responsibilities include ADL support, monitoring patient status, documenting observations, and assisting with treatments as directed.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• English language proficiency required as per VA policy.
• Experience or training in nursing assistance or related field preferred.
• Ability to perform ADLs and assist with basic nursing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform activities of daily living for patients.
• Assist licensed staff with care plans and patient care activities.
• Document observations and report changes to the health care team.
• Help maintain a safe, clean patient environment.
• Support care during preventive, acute, sub-acute, chronic, and hospice stages.
