Job summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide for Taylor's Skilled Nursing unit. You will provide routine nursing care and restorative services to residents 16 and older, following the care plan and under a professional nurse.

You will document care in electronic records, report shifts to the Charge Nurse, assist with assessments and care plan conferences, and help maintain safety, sanitation and resident comfort. Strong CPR/BLS timelines are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Previous experience or job knowledge is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: High school graduate preferred.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Nursing aide certification is required.
• Heartsaver CPR within 90 days of hire and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine resident care and promotes comfort as per the care plan.
• Assists with assessments, Care Plan conferences and care plan updates.
• Records all entries on flow sheets and electronic records, and reports incidents.
• Maintains safety, sanitation and cleanliness of rooms and equipment.

Education

High school diploma (preferred)

Nursing aide certification is required
