Job summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to provide routine nursing and restorative care for residents in a Skilled Nursing setting. The role supports patients aged 16 and up, follows care plans, and reports to the Nursing Supervisor.

The position is part-time with a 20-hour weekly schedule and includes opportunities for professional growth. Applicants must have a Nursing Aide certification or be willing to obtain it within 120 days, and complete CPR and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Certification as a nursing aide is required.
• Heartsaver CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine resident care for adults age 16 and older.
• Promotes resident comfort and safety under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assists with care plans and participates in care plan conferences.
• Maintains clean, organized rooms and documents care in the charting system.
