Greater Los Angeles VA Health Care System is seeking one experienced Nursing Assistant for a full-time Night Shift in the Nursing Service - Community Living Center G-35 at the Sepulveda VA Medical Center in North Hills, CA.

The NA provides comprehensive care across preventive, acute, sub-acute, chronic, maintenance, and hospice services for Veterans with complex nursing needs, while supporting peer education and mentorship within the nursing care team.

Formación

• Six months of general experience.
• One year of education beyond high school with nursing-related courses.
• Completion of an intensive Nursing Assistant course may meet experience requirements.
• Nursing Assistants must be proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Perform vital signs, pain assessments, neurological checks, bladder scans, and oxygen monitoring.
• Carry out non-complex procedures such as specimen collection and simple dressings.
• Support complex mobility and safe patient handling with equipment and assistants as needed.
• Document observations and communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Contribute to infection control, safety, and fall prevention initiatives.
• Participate in remote monitoring via VA tele-sit platforms when indicated.
