Job summary

Regency Hospital - Macon is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our critical illness recovery team in Macon, GA. This PRN/per diem role features 12-hour night shifts with compensation of $18.00 per hour and opportunities for advancement.

You will perform patient care tasks including bathing, oral hygiene, hourly rounds, and help transport patients as needed. A high school diploma or GED and hospital NA experience or certification are required, with BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or related work experience (3+ years).
• Hospital experience as nursing assistant or NA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin‑less methods, oral hygiene, and hair care.
• Conduct hourly rounds and assist transport of patients.
• Transport patients and assist with wheelchairs and stretchers as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
