Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Canton in Canton, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts. The role supports post-ICU recovery care, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and assisting with mobility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as nursing assistant or certification as nursing assistant or related field (medical assistant).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Assist with oral feeding and hair care; participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers as needed; assist transporters with movement.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; maintain stock levels of supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
