Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Wyandotte is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time night shifts (7p-7a) on the 8th floor of Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered and pay is up to $24.24 per hour based on experience.

Competitive night/weekend differentials are available. Responsibilities include bathing, hourly rounds, patient transport, keeping rooms clean, and supporting a compassionate post-ICU recovery team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred Qualifications: Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing and personal care using basin-less products.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment.
• Manage unit stock levels of supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
