Select Specialty Hospital in Battle Creek, MI is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time night shifts. The role offers $18.00–$24.24 per hour plus shift differentials, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The position includes orientation, RN scholarship opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience; BLS is required within 90 days of hire. Hospital NA experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assistant tasks: bathing with basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly and maintain supply levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
