Select Specialty Hospital Oakland is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN night shifts in Pontiac, Michigan. Pay is $23.00 per hour with competitive night/weekend differentials. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing using basin-less methods and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Assist transporters with moving patients using stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms and equipment clean and in order; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)


• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)


• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
