Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital-Oakland (Pontiac) is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a full-time night shift. Compensation offers up to $24.24 per hour based on experience, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The role supports post-ICU care for critically ill patients in a critical illness recovery hospital environment. Responsibilities include patient bathing, hourly rounds, patient transport assistance, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 3+ years relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products; assist with oral hygiene and grooming.
• Conduct hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Assist transmission of patients to treatment centers and help transporters with moving patients on stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; promptly restock supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing team.

• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
