Select Specialty Hospital - Oakland (Pontiac) is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time night shifts. Compensation is up to $24.24 per hour based on experience, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, hourly rounding, and support across post-ICU recovery in a specialized hospital setting. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of relevant experience) and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or at least 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience or CNA certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Perform hourly rounds and respond to patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatments and assist movers with stretchers/wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and stocked as directed.
• Support unit stock management and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assist, actively enrolled RN student)
