Select Specialty Hospital in Pontiac, MI is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a full-time role, three 12-hour shifts per week. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $24.24 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist staff with moving patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and other instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
