Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation - West Orange is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time day shifts in West Orange, NJ. Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $25.59 per hour, plus shift differential, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include vitals, personal care, meals, mobility, and patient transport within the facility. The role supports a broad inpatient rehabilitation program for brain injuries, spinal injuries, and other conditions.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves, and documenting oral intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in the mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Schedule: Full-time, DAYS 7AM-7:30PM (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $21.00/Hour - $25.59/Hour (Based on Experience) +Shift Differential

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred
