Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) in Jackson, MS. This full-time day shift position offers 12-hour shifts and compensation from $16.00 to $19.51 per hour.

You will join a team dedicated to compassionate post-ICU care, with extensive orientation, RN scholarship opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and a clinical ladder to advance your skills. The hospital provides medical/dental coverage and a generous PTO plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital NA experience or NA certification or related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing and basic care.
• Conduct hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment areas as needed and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
