Select Specialty Hospital-Saginaw is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team in Saginaw, MI. This full-time role supports patient care during day shift (7a-7p) in a critical illness recovery hospital environment.

You will participate in essential nursing care, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to a compassionate care team. We offer extensive orientation, scholarships, and benefits to support career growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant or CNA.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
