Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital-Macomb in Mt. Clemens, Michigan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate patient care during 7pm-7am shifts.

The role offers compensation up to $24.24 per hour and is part of a strong hospital team within the Select Medical family. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, oral care, rounds, transporting patients, and maintaining clean rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing, oral hygiene, and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds and assist with transporting patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment and keep rooms orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
