Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist in patient care under the direction of a Staff RN. You will perform personal care tasks, monitor vital signs, and help with daily activities while ensuring patient safety and privacy.

The role requires compassion and physical stamina, with CPR certification within six months and a High School Diploma or GED preferred. STNA is preferred, and prior nursing assistant experience is welcomed, supporting a collaborative healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care that includes bathing, feeding, skin and mouth care and changing bed lines.
• Collect, document, and report vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height and weight.
• Assist with pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care including positioning, lifting and turning.
• Report changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.
• Maintain supplies and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Remain compliant with HIPAA and ensure confidentiality of patient information.

STNA preferred.CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment.Nursing assistant experience preferred.Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
