Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH, is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN supervision. You will perform personal care, collect vitals, and assist with pre- and post-operative tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Strong communication, empathy, and reliability are essential. Prior Nursing Assistant experience preferred; CPR certification and HIPAA awareness are valued, and STNA is preferred. Physical stamina is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• STNA preferred.
• CPR certification within six months of employment.
• HOPE within the first six months of employment.
• Nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including bathing, feeding, and hygiene.
• Collect, document, and report vital signs (temperature, BP, pulse, height, weight).
• Empties patient drainage containers and maintains input/output records.
• Assist with pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care including positioning, lifting and turning.
• Report changes observed in patient condition or behavior.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and report malfunctioning equipment.

STNA preferred.CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment.Nursing assistant experience preferred.Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
