Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 4 Kellogg Mood Disorder Unit in Chicago. The role involves clinical and environmental tasks under RN supervision, with training aligned to nursing education.

Weekend and holiday coverage is required, including one weekend per month. The position supports patient care, data collection, and daily living activities, using EPIC and unit equipment in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Competenze

• Current enrollment in an accredited Baccalaureate or Masters entry level school of nursing with passing grades upon hire and within 3 months of graduation.
• Completed a fundamental nursing course including vital signs and ADLs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Assist patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain a safe patient environment and accurate documentation.
• Provide activities of daily living assistance and data collection.
• Perform routine procedures and specimen collection as directed.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique when necessary.
• Support nurses with admissions, discharges, and transport.
