Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in the Blue Water Area is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry Department to assist with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge. This per diem role requires a current BLS, familiarity with medical terminology, and preferred experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.

The position operates during day shifts and follows hospital policies for a supportive work

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Provide basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and assist in patient care activities.
