Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) at East Madison Hospital to support inpatient Medical/Surgical units. This .60% FTE, 24-hour per week role involves twelve-hour evening/night shifts (7pm–7:30am) with a 1 in 3 weekend/holiday rotation.

You will work alongside Registered Nurses providing direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and ECGs. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, sign-on up to $2,400 (pro-rated for FTE), and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care facility preferred.
• Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide Registry Upon Hire Required; CMA or TMA Upon Hire Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments as per policy.
• Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, and patient mobility.
• Perform 12-lead ECGs and notify RN for abnormal results.
• Engage with visitors, patients and families to establish trust and high-quality care.

Pay

• UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.
• This position may be eligible for a $2400 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE).
• Additional components of compensation may include:

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA) to:

• We are expanding services at East Madison Hospital on the Medical/Surgical Inpatient floors!
• Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on an inpatient Medical Surgical unit and provide care to both medical and surgical patients.
• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. You'll assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding and performing 12 lead ECGs.
