UW Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support Registered Nurses in the Pre/Post PACU and care for surgical patients at the East Madison Hospital. You will assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers and mobility, and provide attentive patient and family-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule:

90% FTE, Monday-Friday, 12-hour shifts of 6:00am -6:30pm. Closed on weekends and holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay:

• UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.
• This position may be eligible for a $2700 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE).

• We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA) to:
• Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on the Pre/Post PACU and provide care to surgical patients.
• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. You'll assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding.
• Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship to provide high quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of State of Wisconsin Approved Nursing Assistant program Required
• High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year recent experience as a Nursing Assistant Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire Required
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months Required
