Essentia Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a patient-care-focused individual to join our team as a nursing assistant. Under supervision, you will provide hygiene care, support nutritional needs, assist with mobility, monitor vital signs, and maintain a safe patient environment.

The role requires ND CNA certification (preferred) or registration as Nurse Assistant, with BLS/CPR and BCLS eligibility. This position offers a 0.5 FTE schedule with day/evening shifts at our 32nd Avenue Building location.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred; if no CNA, must be registered as Nurse Assistant with ND Dept of Health within 3 months.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to obtain within 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs.
• Provide comfort care and assist with transfers and mobility.
• Take vital signs and complete routine recordkeeping.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN.
