Job summary
Northwood Technical College is seeking a Nursing Assistant Instructor at the New Richmond Campus to deliver high-quality instruction and support student success in the Nursing Assistant program. This full-time LTE position is grant-funded through September 30, 2027, with duties across face-to-face, online, web-conferencing, and hybrid classrooms.
Qualifications include an associate degree in nursing, an active Wisconsin RN license, BLS, and a Train-the-Trainer certificate, plus DHS approval
Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing (required).
- Minimum two years (4,000 hours) occupational nursing experience, within last five years.
- One year (2,000 hours) of long-term care nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current RN license in Wisconsin.
- Certificate of Completion of a Nursing Assistant Train-the-Trainer course (or complete prior hire).
- DHS approval to serve as nursing assistant instructor prior to hire.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, assess, and adapt effective instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Plan instruction, syllabi development, learning plans, and assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with the program director to update curricula to meet industry and regulatory standards.
- Employ a variety of instructional strategies and maintain inclusive learning environments.
- Support student success, assess learner achievement, and use data to inform teaching.
- Travel to alternate locations and teach in face-to-face, online, hybrid, and web-conferencing formats.
