Job summary

Grand Lake Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across the hospital. The role emphasizes clear communication, teamwork, and solid clinical skills to assist with basic patient needs and comfort.

Flexibility is required, including weekend rotation and the ability to float to 2nd/3rd floors and the Emergency Department as needed. A state nursing assistant certification and a high school diploma are required or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical health-related programs or coursework preferred.
• Weekend rotation and flexible scheduling required.

Casual employment working 12-hour shifts as needed based on departmental needs.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

Nursing Assistant with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must also possess solid clinical skills and be capable of performing a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient. Candidates must also collaborate and interact positively with the interdisciplinary team in order to provide quality patient care and achieve a high level of patient satisfaction. Must also be willing to float to other work areas as needed; to include 2nd, 3rd, and 6th floors as well as to the Emergency Department. Candidate must also be able to be on feet for long periods of time and possess ability to meet physical effort conditions within job description. STNA preferred.

Education/Certifications

High School Diploma or equivalent Must have one of the following: Completion of state testing certificate program Nursing assistant certification Successful completion of at least one quarter or semester of clinical work in a health-related program Experience Previous nursing assistant experience preferred.
