UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced Nursing Assistant to join the Inpatient Float Pool. You will partner with RNs across General Care, Intermediate Care, ICU and Critical Care to provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities.

The role offers 8- and 12-hour shifts, with day, evening and night options, including every other weekend and rotating holidays. A sign-on bonus up to $3,000 may be available for external hires.

Qualifications

• Graduate of State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aide Training Program Required.
• 1 year of recent experience as a Nursing Assistant Preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months Required.
• Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire Required.

Responsabilités

• Be a supportive partner with registered nurses on General Care, Intermediate Care, ICU and Critical Care units.
• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. CNA’s will assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding.
• Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship to provide high quality care.

Formation

State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aide Training Program

BLS/CPR certification within 3 months

Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire
