Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in providing compassionate patient care at our Burlington, MA site. The role involves assisting with ADLs, vital signs, nutrition, and basic clinical tasks while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Under RN supervision, you will help ensure high-quality patient experiences, participate in orientation of new staff, and support daily unit operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: basic reading, writing and math; interpersonal skills; basic computer skills; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients as delegated by the registered nurse and completes all ADL tasks.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports unusual observations to the nurse.
• Assists with nutrition and meal setup, feeding when required.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision.
• Maintains infection control policies and patient safety.
• Assists with orientation of new Nursing Assistant colleagues.
• Performs other unit-based duties as assigned.
