Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant III in New York to support direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and LPNs. The NA III will perform ADL tasks, assist with meals and mobility, monitor patient status, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Excellent teamwork and patient-centered care are essential. CNAs with 1–2 years of experience or EMTs with relevant hours are encouraged to apply; a BLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years direct patient care in an acute care hospital, long term care facility, rehabilitation facility or licensed home care facility/agency (OR)
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with minimum 1-year full time experience in an acute care facility, long term care facility, rehabilitation facility or licensed home care facility/agency (OR)
• Current EMT certification with minimum 1 year field experience as an active volunteer or work experience (ED applicants only)
• BLS Certification within 6 months from date of hire, required

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct and indirect patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Performs ADL care including oral care, bathing, toileting, and more.
• Maintains patient safety and infection prevention.
• Documents care and communicates with nursing team.
• Transports patients and prepares rooms for admissions/discharges.
