Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant II certification required.
• Current CNA II registration with North Carolina Board of Nursing required and CNA I with the Division of Facility Services required.
• Experience as Nursing Assistant I preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admission of patients to the unit including orientation to the unit and routine care.
• Respond to patient needs with direct assistance or by reporting requirements.
• Carry out delegated care tasks to support the nursing plan.
• Maintain patient safety and proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Access medication/supply room to retrieve items as needed.
• Keep patient environment well-stocked and clean.
• Support cost containment and accurate charging for services.
• Participate in educational and performance improvement activities.
• Perform additional skills such as phlebotomy, EKG, or waived lab testing as trained.
• Support HIP initiatives and patient throughput through teamwork.
