Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Nursing Assistant II to support professional caregivers in delivering patient care, transport patients and equipment, set up rooms, and handle a range of clerical tasks on the patient care unit.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, documenting care, and maintaining accurate medical records while ensuring safety and comfort for patients. Excellent English and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of clerical or customer service experience preferred.
• Six (6) months of related nursing assistant experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional caregiver with routine examinations and procedures.
• Document patient care and report changes to RN/physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, review orders, transcribe physician orders, maintain medical records, and conduct quality audits.
