Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care from admission to discharge under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist patients and families, follow hospital policies, and participate in documenting care in the electronic health record.

The role emphasizes compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence in daily practice. The position is on-site at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, with a night shift from 7:00pm to 7:30am, every other weekend

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Knowledge of caring for patients across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Registered Nurse to organize work and set priorities.
• Perform personal care and basic nursing assistant tasks.
• Assist with rehabilitation activities and activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe environment and report issues.
• Communicate observations to the Registered Nurse and document in EHR.
• Other related duties as required.

Education

Rhode Island license as CNA

High school diploma or equivalent

Basic computer skills

BLS CPR certified

Lifespan care knowledge
