Job summary

Baptist Health Walker Hospital in Jasper, AL is seeking a Nursing Assistant II for full-time night shifts. You will provide direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision, support daily living activities, monitor vitals, and ensure a safe environment for patients and families.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CNA/NA training, current BLS certification, and 1 year of healthcare experience if available. Excellent teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of healthcare experience within the past five years if possible.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination.
• Monitor and record vital signs.
• Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
• Communicate patient concerns to nurses and healthcare staff.
• Participate in patient rounding and shift handoff reports.
• Respond to patient call lights and requests.
• Transport equipment, supplies, blood products, and medications (excluding controlled substances).
