UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Nursing Assistant I (Per Diem) for the General Medicine Unit (7 Bedtower). Provides routine direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

Role includes weekend and rotating day/night shifts, with required orientation and a minimum of 12 hours every two weeks. Onsite work with UNC Health benefits and state employment background.

Qualificações

• Licensed Nursing Assistant I in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prefer six months of nursing assistant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procurement of equipment and supplies during emergency situations.
• Observe, collect, and document patient information; promptly report significant changes to RN or physician.
• Provide care to patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Provide care/treatments per plan of care including vitals, specimen collection, wound care, ROM, range of motion exercises, and patient education materials.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transportation of patients and supplies; support orientation of new staff.
• Reinforce teaching and document patient understanding; distribute patient education materials.
